Our new favorite word...

Update

This just going to be a random update post, and I REALLY AM going to try to be better about posting. There wasn't much to post about Christmas, as Ben and Anna Wells both had the stomach virus...so, not so many fabulous Christmas pictures from us. I turned the big 3-0 the day after Christmas, and we celebrated with Sushi and my parents, which was fun. Then, I had a birthday dinner with my good friends here a few days later at California Pizza Kitchen - yum!! Let's see - what else has happened?? Oh, Ben turned the big 3-0 a couple weeks after me, and we had a small dinner party here, which was a lot of fun....I love an excuse to buy nice ingredients and make a fancy meal! Then, on his actual birthday, we went to dinner and to see The Blind Side - we apparently are behind the times, because we were the only ones in the entire theatre! Which is quite convenient when you are very pregnant, as I was able to get up and walk around when sitting in the same position got quite uncomfortable. We met Ben's sister and her family in Mentone, AL for a long weekend, which was a lot of fun, and it was so cute to see Anna Wells interact with her cousin Lily. The following weekend, some sweet friends threw a baby shower for little Mac (who should be here in about 8 weeks!). Then, this weekend, it SNOWED here - and, I mean SNOWED! We got about 7 inches at our house, and is beautiful. So, there you have it. A brief (well, maybe not) recap of what we've been up to since Christmas...here are some pics of our little girl who's looking more and more like just that - a little girl. It's crazy to me that she's not a little baby anymore!!

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in Mississippi with Ben's family, and it was a great time. Anna Wells got to "play" with her cousin Lily, and it was adorable to watch the two girls together. We stuffed ourselves full of good food, and got our tummies all expanded and such to be filled with all the Christmas goodies this month. :)

Happy Halloween!

So, I know I've been a terrible blogger lately - and, I also know I've been saying that for months now! :) We've had a lot going on here, but I promise I will try to do a better job of keeping this updated. We had a good Halloween - we actually spent the weekend down in Auburn/Lake Martin for the Auburn Ole Miss game, but I will blog about that separately - we celebrated Halloween the weekend before at our church's Trunk or Treat. It was a fun day, and we finished the weekend with a pot luck chili dinner with our community group...enjoy the pics!

the Party!

We had Anna Well's first birthday party on Saturday, and let me tell you, the day didn't start out looking so promising. It had been raining here for literally a week (maybe more - I lost count), and Saturday morning was no exception. It was POURING when we woke up, POURING when Ben pressure washed the carport, POURING when I went to pick up the cake at Costco (which, by the way, I don't recommend you going there on a Saturday, but that's another post). I was checking weather.com like a crazy woman, giving Ben updates every 5 minutes or so - "Oh good! They say that the sun will be out by 3!" then, "Ugh! Now the sun's not coming out until 6!" and on and on. But, thankfully, the sun did come out around 3:30, and the party was a 4:30. We were able to be outside, which was a huge blessing seeing as how there was no way we would have fit comfortably in our 1950's ranch. The party was a lot of fun, and AW was adorable. She loved the cake, and I think she would have kept eating had we not taken it away eventually. Thanks so much to all of you who came to celebrate with us! Here are some pics from the day....

I can't believe it's here...

It's finally here. My baby is a year old! The time has just flown by, and Anna Wells continues to be such a blessing . I put together a quick video of her growing over the past year - hope you enjoy! Happy Birthday Anna Wells!
