Happy Halloween!

So, I know I've been a terrible blogger lately - and, I also know I've been saying that for months now! :) We've had a lot going on here, but I promise I will try to do a better job of keeping this updated. We had a good Halloween - we actually spent the weekend down in Auburn/Lake Martin for the Auburn Ole Miss game, but I will blog about that separately - we celebrated Halloween the weekend before at our church's Trunk or Treat. It was a fun day, and we finished the weekend with a pot luck chili dinner with our community group...enjoy the pics!

the Party!

We had Anna Well's first birthday party on Saturday, and let me tell you, the day didn't start out looking so promising. It had been raining here for literally a week (maybe more - I lost count), and Saturday morning was no exception. It was POURING when we woke up, POURING when Ben pressure washed the carport, POURING when I went to pick up the cake at Costco (which, by the way, I don't recommend you going there on a Saturday, but that's another post). I was checking weather.com like a crazy woman, giving Ben updates every 5 minutes or so - "Oh good! They say that the sun will be out by 3!" then, "Ugh! Now the sun's not coming out until 6!" and on and on. But, thankfully, the sun did come out around 3:30, and the party was a 4:30. We were able to be outside, which was a huge blessing seeing as how there was no way we would have fit comfortably in our 1950's ranch. The party was a lot of fun, and AW was adorable. She loved the cake, and I think she would have kept eating had we not taken it away eventually. Thanks so much to all of you who came to celebrate with us! Here are some pics from the day....

I can't believe it's here...

It's finally here. My baby is a year old! The time has just flown by, and Anna Wells continues to be such a blessing . I put together a quick video of her growing over the past year - hope you enjoy! Happy Birthday Anna Wells!

Know what these are??

Well, I'll tell you. These are proof that this little stinker...
is going to be a big sister come March. Why so many pregnancy tests you ask?? To be honest, I was shocked. Absolutely shocked. Shocked, but THRILLED. We are really excited to be adding to our family, and we are so thankful for the blessing of this baby.

Look at that little face - she has no idea how her world is about to be rocked. :)

Celebrating Betsy!

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of celebrating my good friend Betsy a couple of nights in one week! We had a baby shower for her with good girl friends, and then her sweet husband planned a birthday party for her in the park that weekend...it was a fun week, and I'm so thankful for your friendship, Bets!
